U - U and UR Questions

For this post, I am opening the floor to questions.

Do you have a question about my Disaster Crimes Series (Hurricane Crimes, Seismic Crimes, or the upcoming Tsunami Crimes) or one of my other works?

Do you have a question about my blog?

Question about my writing?

About my life?

Anything is open for discussion. (But please be respectful.)

You can even ask a personal question, which I may or may not answer honestly. ;)

So go ahead and fill the comments section with your questions. I will answer all of them in the Y post next month.

Get ready...

Get set...

ASK!

NOTE: I've been sick since Sunday night. I'll return comments when I can. Thanks for understanding!

They didn't die during a category 5 hurricane, but will they survive a 7.4 earthquake?

With your website, newsletters, blogs, and editing on the side going on, how do you ever find time to write new books?

Who is you favorite character you've ever written and why?

Thanks for your question, Nick! I'll answer it next month. :)

Always a good question to ask authors. :)

Chrys Fey said...

Aw. This question made me smile. Right now, I'm not. But hopefully by then I will be feeling better.

Chrys Fey said...

Good question!

Chrys Fey said...

Oh, I like this one. I know just who to talk about. :)

Are you feeling better?
Why the fascination with disasters?

Chrys Fey said...

I'm only marginally better. Better enough to reply back to comments, but I don't have the energy to visit blogs yet.

I love that question!

Hope you're feeling good as new soon. I don't have a question, but may have one after I read your book that I ordered.

Sorry you've been under the weather. Hopefully, that clears up soon. My question would be about your newsletter. You provided such a wonderful writeup on how to put newsletters together. How have you been doing with yours? Any new tricks you've discovered?

Where did you learn this abundant amount of information about writing, publishing, blogging, etc.? Also, I hope you feel better soon!

Have you experienced many disaster events yourself? I'm thinking of your A to Z posts that focused on various disasters. That was interesting for many of us.

Hi Chrys - I too hope you're feeling better now or at least on the road to recovery ... after a Hurricane Health event.

I think the others have asked the questions I'd have asked - so looking forward to the answers ... cheers and take care - Hilary

One question Chrys, how do you manage all that you do plus the ISWG ALSO?
Great post and a joy to visit each day.

Hopefully the germs have flown away. Hmm question you say. Which disaster would you find the worst to be in? Zombie apocalypse?

Lidy said...

My question is the same as nashvillecats2. You blog 3x a week, blog over at Unicorn Bell, you're an administrator for IWSG and manage the newsletter, etc. How do you find the time to do all that, write, edit and promote your own books?
Also, what show would you spend your entire weekend binge watching?
Hope you're feeling better.

Okay, personal question. How tall are you in cats? I'm 6 and a half cats tall, personally.

Kidding, kidding. Here's a writing related question. Do you have any characters roaming around in your head that you want to write about, but haven't found the right story to put them in yet?

Is there a different genre that you have the urge to play around in? Something that pokes at the back of your brain sometimes?

Hope you feel much, much better soon, Chrys! You're one of the most hardworking writers and bloggers I know. Can't think of a question right now but am very keen on hearing your answers to the fabulous questions asked.

Chrys,
Sorry I've been away for awhile. I'm trying to make my way back. I also hope you are feeling better. I've actually been feeling sick as well. Just getting over a cough. Okay question time.

Have you ever had to delete a loved character completely from one of your stories? Perhaps because he/she didn't fit into the story, didn't add anything to the story or any other reason?

And if so, what do you do with the character? Do you retain them for future use? Or simply kiss them goodbye forever?

Hope that question makes sense.

Chrys Fey said...

Well, you can come back here to pose a question later. :)

Chrys Fey said...

Ah. A newsletter question. I like it.

Chrys Fey said...

Good question.

Thanks, Elizabeth!

Chrys Fey said...

Yes, a disaster question!!! :D

Chrys Fey said...

Thanks, Hilary. I am feeling better but weak and tired.

Chrys Fey said...

This is a popular question. Thanks, Yvonne!

Chrys Fey said...

Love this question!!

Chrys Fey said...

I'll probably answer the second one you asked since I'll be answer the first one posed by someone else. :)

Thanks, Lidy!

Chrys Fey said...

I love writing-related questions. And this is a good one. :)

Chrys Fey said...

Oh. This is a good one, too! Thanks, Shannon!

Chrys Fey said...

Ah. Thank you so much, Claudine! <3

Chrys Fey said...

That is completely understandable, Jeffrey. I hope you're feeling better now, too.

Your question does make sense. Lucky for me, I'll only have to answer one part of it. ;)

It's good to see you back.

Carrie-Anne said...

I really hope you feel better soon!

Have you ever had the experience of characters talking to you and demanding you do things much differently than the way you'd planned? Did you change the storyline accordingly, or stick to the original plot exactly? Have you ever been surprised by the appearance of a completely unplanned character?

Nice questions!
