5 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me / Vlog

Health Update: Healing from surgery. It may take me a while to return visits after, if I am able to (healing is 4-6 weeks). But I will pop in to see your comments and to reply back to them. <3

Thank you for coming to another vlog post on Write with Fey!

This time, I am sharing two fun videos. In the first, I am revealing 5 things you probably don't know about me. In the second, I am showing you 5 odd things you could find on my desk.

  1. My best friend Kerri can sing all the words to REM's It's the End of the World as We Know It. I don't think she'd do that on video either.

I hope everything went well with the surgery and you are home recovering.

  5. Great videos, Chrys. You're so cute! Love that you can still rock the baton. I had one when I was very small and loved it. I took it everywhere with me. I was enrolled in tap dance at the time :)

I love the scalp massage thingy. I want one. 5 weird things on my desk; a rock, tweezers, lip gloss/balm, feathers, small pieces of torn up pages. I won't even explain the stuff LOL.

You may not know about me that I used to teach aerobics. I got my certification when Flashdance hit the theatres. Haha. I'm dating myself. And yes, I had leg warmers!!

Hope you're recovering and resting up, Chrys. Thinking of you.

    1. Thanks, Lisa! What's funny is that when I shared these videos in a Facebook group, several people also comment about how cute I am. *blushes and hides* LOL

I am curious about those small pieces of torn-up pages.

How cool that you used to teach aerobics!

  6. I don't have a desk, but I do have a table by me. It doesn't have anything really weird on it, though. Mostly my prescriptions and a glass of water.

    1. That makes me sad...that you have so many prescriptions and deal with so much. :'(

  7. I don't know what's wrong, but the videos won't play for me. I don't use a desk. I have office supplies on shelves and my laptop is on a tray to make it easier to hold. I don't think I have five odd things on my shelves. Two might be out of the ordinary. I have a Winnie the Pooh and Tigger clock with my name on it, and a Downton Abbey bell like the kind the family would ring when they wanted the servants. Five things you probably don't know about me? 1. I am the true Lorelai Gilmore and my daughter is the true Rory. 2. I play the piano and used to play well. Don't practice enough now. 3. I am the youngest of six children: one boy and five girls. My brother passed away quite some time ago. 4. I can't remember a time that we all lived at home. My brother was a senior in high school when I was born. He moved out right after he graduated. Some of my earliest memories are of my oldest sister coming home on college breaks for visits. 5. I keep a Christmas tree up in my home office all year round. It's not decorated, but it does have lights. I love small lights. Whoa! It was hard to come up with five.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. I'm not sure why they aren't working for you, either, Janie. Sorry about that!

A Downton Abbey bell would be neat to have on a writing desk. :)

      Your #1 made me smile

I am sorry for your loss!

I am also the youngest of the family, Five kids total.

And I keep a small Christmas tree up year-round, too. I have it on my porch and try to decorate it for each season.

  8. My sister used to be an excellent majorette. She could twirl a baton and do all the tricks. My favorite were the fire batons. I was little when she was in high school, so I was doubly impressed.

    1. I have never touched a fire baton. Nor will I ever. LOL!!!

  9. Hi Chrys - excellent to see these ... and I'm so glad the surgery all those years ago was reasonably successful. It's great to see the videos - you do do them really well. I could never do baton twirling! But rather like the stress relievers ... fun to see - thanks for sharing these things ... mine is just full of note books, and cuttings and the odd book - nothing very exciting ... cheers Hilary

  11. Bobble-headed Groot, and paintbrush are the weirdest. One to make me smile the other to dust my keyboard. :-)

  12. We wanna hear you rap. I take it you did these videos before your surgery? I hope you are recovering nicely. As for things on my desk... I have 17 books (I just counted) with five open, at present (along with a pager for the VFD I'm in, business cards, several commemorative paperweights nad a "hand cross" that feels nice to hold.

    1. Yes, I did so these videos before my surgery. I will be sharing some older ones mixed in with some newer ones.

I may do a short rapping video in the future. A VERY short video. lol

  13. Hi, Chrys. I enjoyed your videos. Your desk is a most interesting place. I knew about your spinal surgery but hadn't heard that you twirled a baton. So did I. In Jr. High and Sr. High I was a majorette. It was a lot of fun. You've been through a lot. Hope you recover from your latest surgery soon. Take it easy.

    1. I wasn't a part of any baton twirling team or anything. I did it for fun, mostly by myself. :)

      Thank you, Beverly!
