Blogging Break + Disaster Survey

This year I’m not doing the A to Z Challenge, which means I'm taking a blogging break for the month of April. BUT...I’m not completely out of the Challenge. As an administer for the IWSG I am contributing to our A to Z theme of Writing Resources.

My Days on the IWSG Site will be:
C
K
S

I’m also pitching in with the other blog I co-host (Unicorn Bell) that is also joining the Challenge this year. My theme for my 3 posts will be Unusual Words that you don’t often come across.

My Days on Unicorn Bell will be:
H
P
X

On a Good Note: I am feeling secure about the release for Seismic Crimes because of all the support I received. I think I have the release marketing plan down. I'll share the outcome for all of this later.

I hope everyone participating in A to Z has a blast!

Psychological Impact of Disasters Outbreaks and Terrorism Research Project

The purpose of this study is to examine the potential impact of natural disasters, terrorism events, and infectious disease outbreaks on communities. This survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. Your contributions will potentially educate researchers and practitioners on the psychological impact of traumatic events.

This research project has been approved by the Institutional Research Board of Benedictine University. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the principal investigator on this project or the IRB chairperson at Benedictine University. Please take a moment to participate, but only complete the survey one time.

We sincerely appreciate your time and efforts in participating. Thank you!

It's good to take a break now and again. You are missed during this whole AtoZ challenge, to that you can be sure. Enjoy the month! Will see you around, soon enough. :)

Take your blogging break and breath. We all need to do that at times. :)

Enjoy your break--trying to do the A-Z daily may lead me to take a break :)

Just a couple more weeks until its release!
I post also at the IWSG site and the A to Z Blog, so I'm real thankful for A to Z Lite this year.

It's always good to have a blogging break once and a while. Should I make it through A to Z, I'll probably take one in May.

Glad to hear you have your release marketing plan down!

Yes! I'm on break too...sort of. But hey, we take what we can get, eh? (Not that we aren't completely busy anyway.)

This is my first break, so I'm looking forward to being able to just write.

Thanks, Yvonne!

Aw. Thanks, Jeffrey! I'll join the craziness next year. :)

I do need that refresh. I've been starting to dread blogging.

Thank you, Jennifer! I hope you enjoy your break too!

Chrys Fey said...

*takes a deep breath* Thanks!

Chrys Fey said...

You'll probably want you afterward. lol

Chrys Fey said...

Yay!!

I don't know how you do it.

Chrys Fey said...

Taking a break in May would be a good idea. If I do the Challenge next year, I think I'd do that.

Chrys Fey said...

Thank you, Madeline!

Chrys Fey said...

Yup. We take what we can get.

I'm really glad I didn't do the A to Z this year. I wouldn't be sleeping.

Chrys Fey said...

Thanks! Timothy and his colleagues will appreciate your input. :)

Chrys Fey said...

Neither would I. I made the decision not to join after last year. I'm glad I stuck with that decision.

A good break is fine to take. Enjoy it, as you still post elsewhere.

I have a glimpse of how hard you work, so a blogging break is a good thing to do for you. Deep breath, because you work very hard at everything you do.

Mary Kirkland said...

I'm not participating in the A to Z this year either.

J.H. Moncrieff said...

I've definitely missed you this time around, and it's weird not to see you on the blogs, but it was a great month to take a break.

I don't know if I'll do the A to Z again. There's lots that's good about it, but the three-four hours of extra work per night is getting to me.

Adrienne Reiter said...

You always have a full plate. Wishing you lots of R&R on your break. Cheers! -A

Wow, you are a busy lady... Thanks for all the work you do for the IWSG and keeping us informed on what you are doing...

I'm not doing A to Z this year, either. I just don't have the time. Congrats on your new release, and thank you for all your work on the IWSG newsletter! Enjoy your break!

Hart Johnson said...

Man, so understandable to take a break... and in A to Z frenzy I totally forgot yesterday was IWSG... ACK! I suppose confessing I was failing at this spirit of the A to Z thing because of my day job was insecure, but I didn't link or anything... Ah well... Thanks for the survey link. I will check it out.

Chrys Fey said...

I think its good that I'll still be posting elsewhere...I won't be forgotten. ;)

Chrys Fey said...

LOL I know. The X was hard, but at least with my theme I was able to find something.

Chrys Fey said...

This is pretty much my first real blogging break other than my first time during Christmas last year.

Chrys Fey said...

You're welcome. Timothy! And thank you! :D

Chrys Fey said...

Thank you, Nicola! :D

Chrys Fey said...

Thank you, C Lee! I hope so. ;)

Chrys Fey said...

Thank you, Joylene. I appreciate that. It's almost like being a mom and wanting your kids to see how hard you work, isn't it? :P

Chrys Fey said...

I think there should be a club for those not participating in the Challenge for a specific year. lol

Chrys Fey said...

Aw. It's nice to know I'm missed. :)

Keeping up with the visiting and commenting is tough. That's the part that is draining. Next year I plan to participate because I have a theme already picked out, but after that I'm not sure. I may only do the Challenge every other year, and when I do it I'll take May off to regroup.

Chrys Fey said...

Thank you, Adrienne! It's nice to not have to worry about my blog every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Chrys Fey said...

I suppose I am a busy lady. lol Thanks, Michael. :)

Chrys Fey said...

Thanks, Lidy!

Chrys Fey said...

I don't have the time either. Last year I was a co-co-host and planning a two-book blog tour. This year I'm planning a tour for my first novel, so I knew I wouldn't be able to do both.

Chrys Fey said...

During the craziness of A to Z it can be easy to forget IWSG and other responsibilities.

Chemist Ken said...

Taking a break every once in a while can be good for recharging your writing juices. I might take part in the Challenge next year, but this year I'm focused on writing. Good luck with your writing over the break.

It's hard to escape the A to Z! I've seen a few people say they aren't doing it on their blog, but at another site they share with others. *whispers* one of us. one of us. ;)

Chrys Fey said...

I'm focused on writing this year too. It feels great!

Chrys Fey said...

LOL! It is hard to escape. :P
