  1. Hi, Chrys,
It always makes a huge impact when you share your experiences in your writing. I once lit a gas space heater only to have it explode in flames due to a leak. I wasn't hurt just frightened but the fire department did show up. I think my screams alerted them. :)

    1. Hey Yolanda!

It certainly does. I love being able to add my own experiences into my books, especially the Disaster Crimes series. ;)

  2. great videos. i don't have any personal experience with fire, other than watching it in my fireplace or fire pit. it is very hypnotic, yet so dangerous. thanks so much for sharing

  3. It took me a while to get used to doing a video. Reading an excerpt isn't so bad for me. It's when I have to remember what to say that's hard. lol

    1. I can't even imagine what it be like to experience fire like that. Especially as a child. Grabbing toys, oh my gosh, just heart-wrenching! They say to write what you know, and you've done exactly that and I find that very brave!

  6. I love the way you draw from your own life experiences. It really enhances the fiction parts.
